I am a Ph.D. candidate in the English Department at Penn State where I write, teach, and work as a research assistant. My central research interests lie in the history of rhetoric, specifically involving the development of English language instruction. Parts of this project were presented at CCCC and RSA in 2008.

Additionally, I study composition and technology and have served as a research assistant to both Stuart Selber and Cheryl Glenn. I teach first-year composition, technical writing, and advanced technical writing and editing, and I've compiled a Teaching With Technology portfolio to document personal teaching experience, specifically that related to the use of technologies. I currently work part-time as a technical writing with Emerging Technologies at Penn State, and I have also studied undergraduate internships and produced a handbook for internship supervisors.
